Armed Civilian Training Group was built from a genuine passion for firearms, training, and continuous learning.

 

Over the years, we have spent countless hours developing our own skills, studying different training methods, working with shooters of varying experience levels, and learning what truly helps students improve.

Along the way, we also saw areas where students were sometimes underserved—whether through unclear instruction, outdated methods, a lack of individual attention, or simply being told what to do without understanding why. Those experiences helped shape the foundation of ACTG.

We created ACTG to provide a different approach: practical, purpose-driven firearms training focused on strong fundamentals, deliberate repetition, accountability, and continuous improvement. We believe every student deserves clear instruction, a safe and respectful learning environment, and the tools to continue developing long after the class is over.

We do not believe any background, title, or résumé automatically makes someone a great instructor. We are not trying to turn civilians into soldiers. We believe good training is demonstrated through the quality of the instruction, the ability to communicate effectively, and the progress of the student.

At ACTG, we remain students ourselves. We are constantly training, researching, questioning our methods, and looking for better ways to improve. That commitment to learning is not only part of our philosophy—it is the reason ACTG exists.
